Greg, Erika, Tayte, Leroy & Summer - Forbes Family Session

It was a big drive down to NSW to see my family and friends last week, and I love nothing more than being able to fit in family portrait sessions whilst back in Forbes.

There is just something about being able to capture the families of people I grew up with or knew as a child, coming back seeing the family of their own that they have created.

This gorgeous session was purchased as a gift for Erika’s birthday by her friends. (I think a family photo session is one of the greatest gifts you can receive, who doesn’t want stunning images to fill your walls with?)

Erika had mentioned that they had never gotten around to getting photo’s done yet of the family, I was of course super excited to be catching up with them!

We met up early in the morning before the family was heading to Sydney. Both of the boys Tayte & Leroy, had made it through to the NSW State Cross Country. Anyone who knows this family, knows what superstars these kids are when it comes to sports, the apple doesn’t fall far from thee tree.

I think the most pressing memory I have of Erika when I was a child was how athletic she was with her sports, Especially soccer.

Everyone was an absolute champion for being in front of the camera first thing in the morning. They were completely themselves, so relaxed and just lapped up every moment of being present together.

Oh and I need to mention the great colour styling from Erika choosing that perfect pop of colour for little Summers outfit! Outfit choices are a big part in a session!

Thank you again Erika & Greg, I hope you cherish these photos for many years to come.

Andrews & Ball - Family Session Clermont

The Andrews & Ball family is certainly a lovely one, with many characters between them, all are funny, charming and sweet! No doubt the new family member little Hank (4 months old) will grow up to be just as delightful. I loved seeing just how much he is adored by his grandparents, and how lucky he is to have a great grandparent around.

Hank was interested in everything around him, taking it all in and managed to fall asleep in almost an instant towards the end of the session.

Thank you again Ashton & Mitch for allowing me to capture your family xx

I love it when families come together and take the opportunity to have photo's taken. I think it is so important to be able to have quality images that you can pass down through generations.
Especially when you can get more than three generations in the one photo.

Nathan & Rebecca - Engagement - Port Douglas

Quite a few months ago I received a message from Nathan. He told me he was planning to propose to Rebecca upon their trip to Port Douglas which he gifted to her for Christmas. Rebecca & Nathan have been together for over two years, and in a short time have become a family of four with the birth of Riley (17 months) and Kobe (4 months).

Whilst we didn't think the weather was going to be in our favour, with the forecast of 100mm+ of rain for the weekend, Nathan had been watching the radar constantly and had picked the perfect time.

On Thursday the 8th of March, I met up with Nathan and we chose a spot by the beach.
He had sent Bec for a pampering session and told her that after they were off to dinner down by the water. As they walked down to the shore.. It all unfolded.

There were so many gorgeous moments during this session (a personal favourite was when she realised it was me behind the camera and came running over to me with the biggest smile! Nathan truly out did himself - We hadn't seen each other for what feels like so long)

It was honestly so lovely to be apart of this moment in Nathan & Bec's life. I felt so honoured and privileged to have been asked to capture their engagement. I hope the love between them never fades and I can't wait to continue seeing them grow together.

Lachlan - 12 Month Cake Smash - Clermont QLD

This darling boy, Lachlan had unfortunately been a bit sick for a few days leading up to the session but still managed to let some smiles out for us with help from a few friends and a few tickles from mum.

Set amongst the old trucks in the paddock Lachlan found his appetite again with the freckle sponge cake. After the warmth of the afternoon sun we returned back for a nice cool splash, much to his delight.

Emily - Clermont Graduation 2017

I almost can't deal with how gorgeous and how photogenic this girl and her family were. The whole time there were so many laughs and everyone was so calm, relaxed and complete naturals. Emily was joined by her friend Ryan & of course her mum, dad, siblings & their partners.

Emily's dress is by Madison James from Signature Bridal & Formal in Townsville with her hair and makeup by Sam Wilkinson from Lily-Couture.

Giulia - Clermont Graduation 2017

I caught up with Giulia at Pepperina Park, the local Clermont racecourse track and at first sight knew that we would get some stunning shots. Giulia's strapless sequin dress was by Alfred Angelo which she purchased from Brides and Belles in Bundaberg. Make up by Selina Riseham, hair by Helen Simonds at JD’s Hair Affair and the fabulous Mikaela Scott at Luxe Lounge added the final touch with blush, white and glitter nails. Lewis was looking trendy in his blue suit - A known stylish man of the town, who often takes out the Young Gent title in the Fashion on the field.

Conor - Clermont Graduation 2017

On the 17th of November the final night to the senior year was finally here! The handsome Conor Priestley rocked this session with his partner Shari. The two posed with a vintage schmick Ford Zephyr & were joined by Conor's family. Check out the cutest sibling shots ;)
